It is at this time from the hippocampus that memories are transferred to the zone of long-term storage.
Yina Wei, the author of the study, notes that the spatial and temporal structure of the cortical oscillations is determined by signals from the hippocampus. According to the conclusion of specialists, this process is also decisive for processing and long-term storage of episodes of life in memory.
